Scope of the Role
The EMEA Sales Consulting Team undertakes significant architectural work during the sales cycle as we engage on cross product and cross line of business bids. This role is aimed at leveraging the CGBU products portfolio and positioning solutions that are appropriate to the client needs and aligned with Oracle future roadmap and strategy as part of the overall proposed solution.
You will provide key industry architectural knowledge and/or business process knowledge. This will be used to
Support selected, key opportunities, during the business development and on going sales cycle for Oracle’s Global Communications Business Unit. The role involves supporting the Sales cycle of major client proposals by providing specialist knowledge, expertise and experience to enhance and ensure the high quality of information and product positioning.
Train and enable the EMEA Sales Consulting Architectural team, who are based in the sales regions to:
1. Present an end to end Oracle solution value proposition
2. Present and run the Oracle end to end Demonstration Solution
3. Present the end to end business process maps used by Oracle in the value propositions
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Architectural leadership in selected bids to ensure that Oracle CGBU products are positioned in an appropriate manner
Engage with senior C level customer contacts within a prospect to understand their issues and objectives
Provide guidance to the CGBU Sales Consulting competence areas with respect to cross application positioning.
Deliver specific industry focused solution and architectural expertise
Understand the CGBU Industry vision for future product and solution direction. Thus ensuring that solutions are aligned to maximize the potential of future product adoption and revenue generation.
Support working with Professional Services Solution Architects from the delivery teams, both Partners and Oracle Consulting.
Essential Skills
Working knowledge and experience of Communication’s industry end to end business processes and industry practices (e.g. ETOM)
Ability to position the Oracle Communications Solutions architecture and business processes, including the Product Hub, through Siebel, Order Management, Billing and Activation, using the AIA framework.
Ability to create solutions to complex problems
Ability to communicate ideas effectively and promote internal education within the team
Detailed knowledge of Communications Industry solutions in BBSS, OSS and Networks domain
Detailed understanding of the Oracle integration strategy, products and roadmap.
Broad appreciation and ability to position the Oracle Communications Footprint
Clear understanding of the communications market place and the issues faced by operators
Clear knowledge of technical issues as they pertain to the Communications industry
Working knowledge of Communication’s industry standards and practices
Ability to drive and communicate field requirements within Oracle CGBU
Ability to discuss product fit and placement with technical personnel.
Working knowledge of Oracle practices and procedures.
Good communication (written and oral), presentation skills, organizational and time management skills
Ability to execute to a plan and demonstrate dependability and ownership
Provide governance for large solution demonstrations and POC’s
Experience in building and delivering demonstrations for clients.
Experience
Ideally 5+ years of delivering complex multi-product solutions to the Communications sector
Previous experience successfully positioning technology solutions to all levels within the client organization.
Experience of providing architectural and business process expertise into the Sales cycle.
